Never forget, in these 'matches' Kuga is majorly holding back by only using Border shit. he could combine a lot better moves / skills when he uses both alien + Border tech at same time as shown early on in the show. This is only about 10% of his full ability xD He is just fucking around to get even danker and stronker.

Ah yeah true, I forgot his compy dood would do calculations for him! It seems he is using Border triggers to obviously more and better combos tho, so I think him and Replica can / will meet back up or he will learn to combo better without him :( I mean Kuga's life is only so finite, but obviously will be stretched as long as possible before they address how he will live on without slowly decaying.

Ive also enjoyed Dragon Quest by them. They seem to do well with these types of anime where there is succession of set up, fights, set up, fights, etc.

I like the animation and fight scenes of Dragon Quest. But I hate the story and MC.

It's not an overly complex story. Dai is kind of eh, but I do like the rest have personality.

I was recently watching an anime from 2012 and I was like whoa the MC isnt a magical kid or a twink with uber powers.

MCs with a non-carbon copy personality are rare now. I think that is one of the draws to Eighty Six and Goblin Slayer.

Osamu Never shines he’s trash and replaceable, the only reason he’s where he at is cause he’s carried, he’s a fake Shikamaru, and is the asses character and the whole show.

Osamu is the big brain of their team he doesn't need to shine with his fighting, he was carried sure but thats way back in season 1 after that I think we all can agree he has proven his worth in the team

Wrong he’s a average thinker just like most of them thus he is easily replaceable , their not one time he thought of something that was shocking, it is cause of kuga battle exp, that they gotten so far, they even say it n the series, The only thing special about Osamu is that he’s been running the whole series.

I just been watching, and throughout the series I hope something would happen but no he’s trash and a runner, looking for cheap shot, and almost always gets predicted by the average character.

Unfortunately he doesn't upgrade the same level as others, but trust me when i say he is not just an average character, these 3 seasons +the little manga left to adapt it's just them "training" and "preparing" to go out there and actually gain experience like the rest of the teams.

It not about upgrading like other people, it’s that I see no potential n him, but the writer makes it seem like he something good but he’s not and any average character could fill his position, and without kuga he would not be notice, but because he has kuga who’s a neighbor and the sniper girl, who has extreme power.

I hope you can remember he's fighting the top of B tier only MONTHS after Joining border, he's no natural born fighter nor does he have exceeding amounts of Trion but with just months of battle experience he's coming up witb better and better plans, plans that have put in a pickle other more experienced teams before, you say he has no potential I say he has much more to give, if you can't see that then I must assume you're blind to talent.

Please don’t forget the only reason he’s b rank is cause of kuga, he barely even made it into border on his owe, he didn’t even earn that, plus kuga is the only reason, he’s at the top tier battle's, it was even said in the anime that kuga is carrying him.

You talk and you talk yet you say nothing, not one of the things you said refutes my points, I will say it like this, Osamu's plans help Kuga's strenghts shine brighter, and that's a 3 months of combat experience Osamu, Imagine years ahead, Osamu will get better at the things he 's already good at and will become passable and the things he's not good at now. I wrote this 10 days ago I don’t know y u respond so slow, with such bs cause, but to answer your question I watch this because of kuga, second kuga doesn’t need Osamu to shine, Kuga creativity and using what’s around him is what causes him to shine, but be honest with yourself if kuga wasn’t a character in this series would u watch the show .

Yep, I would watch the show because while kuga is cool he isn't everything, there's a dozen other characters just as cool and Osamu is relatable and likable, you should probably stick to shounens if you want more kugas.

it's not like this is a team battle show where strength isn't everything and people use strategies and stuff. it's also not like almost every strategy they used in the past that made them earn points was created by Osamu, it's not like Chika and Kuga aren't that smart and only have strength,speed and amount of trion to use on their side.

All im saying is Osamu idea were that of a average thinker, thus replaceable by an average thinker and his plans would not work if kuga battle exp wasn’t already higher then most of the other teams, remember the fight at the mall how he easily fell for the last team trap and told kuga to go on chika defense when it wasn’t needed and even hyuse saw that and that way he stayed on attack and disobey, he not a critical thinker just average.

I think the writer made it clear that Osamu is really a weakling. Even at that last fight with Oji Squad, Oji said that he doesn't take Osamu lightly but he is still weak. As a fighter, yes he is trash. As a thinker, maybe mediocre. As a person, he's interesting. He's learning quickly, asked a lot of A ranks for help, still humble and honest. You can't just replace a captain that kuga will trust, considering he has a side effect, as well as chika. If you are talking about potential, since he is weak and he knows it, he has a lot of room to grow and he is also very eager to learn.

I wanted to add to your comment. The series has already set in stone since the very beginning that Osamu was NEVER meant to be a frontline Border agent due to his extremely low level of trion. However, Osamu didn't become an operator for the same reason he didn't become a sniper because he wanted to be on the front lines supporting. The series itself already reminds us again and again by trampling over Osamu for his lack of trion levels and inexperience. Yet that never stops him from exploring and learning which is one of the reasons why I like him as a character. Kei Tachikawa, current A Rank, Captain of his own squad and #1 Border agent among all active agents, said in season 1 that Osamu is a crafty opportunist when left unchecked. That's also one of the reasons why other A and B ranks are cautious of Osamu the average joe who is still growing with much more potential to show in his own way.
